The starting point for ‚send me a postcard‘ is the bus as a mobile stage and a microcosmos. It served as a platform for developing small scenes and dream-like miniatures: two young woman become hostesses, the bus turns into an aeroplane, the trip through the city into a journey around the world and the pavement into a dance floor…
‚Sometimes when I am travelling on the bus I feel like I am sitting somewhere in the world and at the same time it seems like the voices and images of this world are around me. It is not clear to me whether I am part of a large dream or whether this dream of the world, with all its aspirations and nightmares, is inside me. The bus is one of the last public places where the lower strata of the city meet. Within that there is something utopic.‘ (A.P.)
