Mirabella Imbeccari: a village near Catania in the heart of Sicily with antiquated agriculture, not even tied in to the modest tourist trade. A hopelessly lost part of the European periphery.
A regular bus service has been in operation between these two communities since 1978. Recently, it was extended to encompass a funeral service.

A film about Sicilian families who emigrated to Swabia in Germany yet have still not really arrived there even after three generations: commuters between two worlds.
