The goal for the film was to present the most important structures, functions and processes of the regional parliament to children and young people in an exciting and funny way.

This has been done in form of a credible but fictional story told through fictional characters, but in reality find their match.

The protagonists are on the one hand the young Laura and Anthony, on the other hand, the adults in the role of the retired Mr. Maier and two deputies, one of them Laura's father. These explain the functions of the South Tyrolean parliament and the day-to-day routine of the deputies of the parliament to the young people.

The film "ice-cream or melon" is an animated film with a simple but appealing 2D technique implemented.
